Non-profit idea - Year Up Bay Area
YUBA is a one-year intensive education and internship program focusing on training in information technology and quality assurance for low-income young adults, ages 18-24. Specifically, they provide marketable job skills, stipends, internships, and college credits for students interested in entering the information technology sector.
At Opportunity Hack, YUBA would like to develop an application that will enable them to obtain status updates from interns on a weekly basis as well as updates from its corporate partners.
If you'd like to be part of the team hacking for this idea, make sure to be present at the team formation session on the morning of the hackathon after each nonprofit has pitched their problem.
